Tournament Information
GAMES CHAMPIONSHIP
Aquaterra Bocce: A Ball Game
An Aquaterra tradition! Players take turns throwing their balls toward the jack. Closest to the jack earns points toward the game score and earns the ability to throw the jack on the next round. Most points at the end of the game earns 3 points toward the championship and so on.
Terrain: Rolling hills
1st place – 3 points
2nd place – 2 points
3rd place – 1 point
Midnight: A Dice Game
One player rolls at a time. All six dice are rolled; the player must “keep” at least one die per roll. Any that the player doesn’t keep are rerolled. This procedure is then repeated until there are no more dice to roll. Once kept, dice cannot be rerolled. Players must have kept a 1 and a 4, or they do not score. If they have a 1 and 4, the other dice are totaled to give the player’s score. The maximum score is 24 (four 6s.) The procedure is repeated for the remaining players. The player with the highest four-dice total wins.
1st place – 3 points
2nd place – 2 points
3rd place – 1 point
The Royal Game of the Goose: A Racing Board Game
Players roll dice and move their pieces around a board, aiming to land exactly on space 63. Players take turns rolling two dice and advancing their piece by the sum of the rolled numbers. If you overshoot the target space, you must move backwards by the amount you overshot. There are also special spaces, like the Bridge, Inn, Well, Maze, Prison, and Death, which can affect your game.
1st place – 3 points
2nd place – 2 points
3rd place – 1 point
The player with the highest total out of a possible 9 championship points is declared Games Champion.
In the event of a tie in championship points, the coronets will choose their champion. If the coronets do not wish to choose, the winner will be decided by playing one round of Midnight (the dice game).
If there are 6 or more competitors, 4th place will also be awarded 1 championship point per game.
RAPIER CHAMPIONSHIP
The tournament format is going to be single sword. But before going into the eric you roll a die and if it comes up even you fight right-handed. Odd you fight left handed, because lefties are a bit odd. Will be Urlsamas style round robin. Depending on List size will depend on knockout or directly to finals but those will be bring your best. Knockout will be best of 3 and Final best of 5.
HEAVY CHAMPIONSHIP
This year’s heavy combat champions tournament will be a round robin style with a little bit extra. Over the barrier… for those who don’t know what that is, over the barrier is where two fighters will have to fight over ... yep, you guessed it! A barrier! They will place one hand on the barrier and fight single-handedly (best two of 3, depending on the number of fighters we have in attendance). The format may be adjusted as well.
Finals will be best two out of three with whatever weapons fighters choose unless otherwise announced.
Youth and Family Activities
YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP
My Lords, Ladies and Nobles pray attend!
Long has our beautiful Barony wallowed in darkness. Our court has gone without its defender, and our Baron and Baroness left unguarded. But no longer shall this darkness prevail! Their Excellencies have called upon me to seek out a light and bring joy to our courts again.
I speak of course of a Youth Armored CHAMPION!
Come all ye brave and noble Dragons to AQUATERRA CHAMPIONS. Declare your intent before the Baron and Baroness and be prepared to prove yourself in single combat. All dragons are welcome to compete regardless of which land you call home.
Youth Champion requirement (in addition to those listed for all Champions above):
– Dragon division (14-17 years) unless special permission has been granted by Their Excellencies.
To our honorable youth not yet competing for Champions, do not be afraid, you too can fight this day! There will be an all-divisions tournament held at the same time. A reward will be granted to the winner of each division.
Tournament requirements: All participants must have a valid YAC authorization card and a legally supervising adult.
