Scriptorium! Sounds impressive.

It’s a gathering of people who love medieval illuminations, calligraphy, art, seals, and other methods of communicating in the middle ages.
We compare books, resources, and tools; we host classes; and we’ll have both Baronial Charters as well as fun bookmarks to paint.

(A charter is a pre-printed award paper, 11 x 14, that you can paint. It is later given out as an award. We can teach you how to paint it.)

The Barony relies on and respects its artists for supplying the beautiful award scrolls for people in our group, for their achievements and hard work.
And, with training, you can take on an original period-produced scroll for a peerage of Kingdom need!

All the brushes, paints, and materials are supplied; bring your pencils, note-taking, personal scribal kits if you have them, and a sense of humor.

The library allows drinks with lids and non-messy food in this room. We will leave it cleaner than we found it.

Come learn about medieval illumination and calligraphy arts! Come paint, ink, sketch, or calligraphy something with us!
